Choosing residence permit assistance in Poland: questions to ask

Compare the actual scope, representation, fees and communication before paying for help with a residence application.

Good residence assistance should make the scope of work understandable before you pay. Compare what will be done, who is responsible and what the price includes. A low headline price is not a useful comparison if one offer covers a document review and another covers ongoing case handling.

You can use the public procedure independently

The Office for Foreigners explains that access to MOS is free and paid intermediaries are not required to use it. Professional support is a choice about preparation, coordination and representation. It is not a private fee for access to an official system.

Consider where you need help: choosing the route, resolving inconsistent documents, coordinating an employer or university, understanding correspondence or dealing with a refusal. That makes the comparison more concrete.

Ask these questions about the offer

Question A useful answer should explain
What exactly am I buying? Preparation, review, filing support and later work included in the scope
Who handles my case? The actual provider, contact person and backup arrangements
Who checks the application? The review process, not only a claim of experience
What does the total include? Tax treatment, government charges, translations and separate proceedings
How are letters handled? Delivery address, monitoring and how requests reach you
What must I do myself? Personal documents, signatures and attendance where required
What happens if circumstances change? How additional work is agreed and priced

Understand representation and qualifications

Ask what authority the representative receives and what professional qualifications are actually held. Administrative representation and representation in court are not identical questions. The Code of Administrative Procedure governs administrative representation; do not infer a protected professional title from a website’s branding.

Keep the agreement and power of attorney available. Ask for an explanation of any clause you do not understand before signing.

Evaluate promises carefully

A provider can explain its own preparation process. It cannot replace the authority’s assessment of the application. Ask what evidence supports an advertised success rate or processing estimate and what cases are included in it.

Do not hand over your account credentials as a shortcut to the personal actions required in the official process. Agree a secure way to exchange documents rather than posting them in public groups.

What STAYLEGAL offers

We prepare applications, coordinate documents with employers or universities, manage correspondence with the immigration office and accompany clients to office appointments in Warsaw. The service pages explain the three main residence offers, and the price list covers the wider scope.

Your first enquiry is free. A longer paid consultation is optional. Tell us what you need help with, then compare the written scope and total payable before deciding to proceed.
