A wezwanie is a request or summons from the authority. It is not automatically a refusal. The useful first step is to identify what action is required, who must take it and when the response is due.
Read five parts of the letter
- The issuing authority and case reference.
- The person to whom it is addressed.
- The requested documents, explanation or attendance.
- The deadline and instructions for responding.
- The stated consequence of failing to act.
Keep every page and attachment. A photo of one paragraph can omit the deadline or the submission instructions. If someone is representing you, check whether the letter has also been delivered to them and agree who is responding.
Establish the delivery date
The date printed on a letter and its legally effective delivery date are not necessarily the same. The Code of Administrative Procedure contains rules on delivery and time limits. For deadlines expressed in days, the triggering day is generally excluded, and special rules apply when the final day falls on a Saturday or statutory holiday.
The method of delivery can affect the calculation. Save the envelope, delivery record or electronic evidence; do not calculate only from the day you first noticed the message.
Turn the request into a task list
Create a row for each requested item. Add who can provide it, whether you already have it, what format is requested and when it can be ready. An employer document and a personal signature need different owners.
An illustrative example: if the office requests updated employment information and evidence of coverage, replying only with a new contract may leave the insurance question unanswered. Match the response to each actual request rather than send a general bundle.
Reply through the correct channel
Follow the instructions for your case and keep proof of filing. Do not assume an ordinary email or a message to a commercial adviser is a valid procedural response. The MOS information also makes clear that using the online application system does not mean all later communications take one identical form.
If you cannot obtain a document in time, seek advice before the deadline. Explain the obstacle and identify the appropriate procedural action. A request for more time should not be treated as an automatic extension.
After responding
Keep the exact response, attachments and filing evidence together. Record any outstanding item and monitor the next correspondence. For wider organisation, use the waiting checklist.
If you need help understanding the request, contact STAYLEGAL with the letter type and deadline. Arrange a secure way to share the full document rather than posting it publicly.
